News Right Now: Shock and Empty Talk
On Wednesday, July 31st around 2am in Tehran, Ismail Haniyeh was assassinated by an explosive device hidden in a heavily guarded state guest house in the capital of Iran. Indeed, to Allah (swt) we belong and to him we return. May Allah (swt) have mercy on his soul and accept his martyrdom. Haniyeh was the political chief of Hamas, known for his contributions to diplomatic efforts which took place outside of Palestine, specifically in Qatar, participating in Qatari-brokered ceasefire negotiations between Hamas and the Zionist entity. Although “Israel” has not claimed responsibility for the assassination, less than 12 hours prior, Hezbollah’s most senior military commander, Fuad Shukr, was killed by Zionist forces. “Israel” proudly claimed responsibility for this assassination which caused irreparable damage to an entire building they targeted with, in their words, ““intelligence-based elimination,” an operation that resulted in the death of 3 civilians and wounded 74 others.
In the typical blatant and arrogant disregard for human life, the monstrous Zionist entity continues to spread its tentacles and entrench them further and further into the Muslim lands. The death of Ismail Haniyeh and Fuad Shukr, the Ummah is presented with even more evidence that this Zionist entity is not only an enemy to the Muslims of Palestine, but an enemy to Muslims all over the world. Driven by an arrogance that will only bring on the punishment promised by Allah (swt), they continue to attack our Ummah ruthlessly, in all lands and with all sorts of cowardly methods, hiding their face behind missiles and bombs into other lands on borrowed money and resources from their Western power parents. This clarifies that the Zionist entity has support and protection from Western AND Eastern forces. With so many normalization efforts made by the government leaders of the Muslim lands with the illegitimate Zionist entity, the treachery of the Muslim rulers is highlighted.
It also highlights the weakness of Iran as a protective and supportive force for the resistance against the wretched occupiers. Two major leading figures for the largest two Iran-backed resistant groups were killed under their so-called protection, on their soil, within less than 24 hours of one another. All the newly inaugurated president of Iran had to say about Haniyeh’s death were a few words about “Israel” having paved a path for its own punishment with this action. Brothers and sisters, we have known since the beginning, that the moment a single drop of Muslim blood was spilled at the hand of the occupiers, this was more than enough of a reason for the Ummah to respond as Mu’tasim did to the cry of a single Muslim woman, with an army that upon the first defense’s arrival into enemy territory, the latter half of the army was still leaving the barracks of the Muslim lands. For the president of Iran to only throw empty threats of an invitation of punishment upon the Zionist entity after it has killed at least 39,000 people, 15,000 of them children, injured over 90,000 people, and displaced 2 million people just in Gaza, in the past 10 months, is not only a show of weakness, but of treason to the Muslim Ummah worldwide. The Washington Post comments on Iran’s and Hezbollah’s likelihood to retaliate, stating they “may want to avoid a full-blown war with Israel, a key ally and military partner of the United States. Washington could also impose more sanctions, inflicting further damage on Iran’s already struggling economy.”
Allah (swt) says in Surat Al-Aali Imran, verse 178:
[وَلاَ يَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ أَنَّمَا نُمْلِى لَهُمْ خَيْرٌ لاًّنفُسِهِمْ إِنَّمَا نُمْلِى لَهُمْ لِيَزْدَادُواْ إِثْمَاً وَلَهْمُ عَذَابٌ مُّهِينٌ]
(And let not the disbelievers think that Our postponement of their punishment is good for them. We postpone the punishment only so that they may increase in sinfulness. And for them is a disgraceful torment.)
At a time where Muslim rulers continue to fail our Ummah, consisting of nearly 2 billion servants of Allah (swt) and His Messenger (saw), we must call upon the sincere soldiers lying dormant in their barracks, hands tied by the treachery of their leaders, and hearts yearning for the end of the cries of their brothers and sisters in the Blessed Land of Palestine. The resistance fighters of Hezbollah and Hamas are held back by the traitors of Iran who back them. They require the full assistance and resources of the Muslim armies: the nuclear power of Pakistan, the naval fleet of Turkiye, the border access of Egypt and Jordan. All that is needed is one, sincere general of just one brigade in any of the Muslim lands to move to defend our brothers and sisters of our Ummah with its very own resources and weapons, under the banner of the Khilafah Rashidah, the rightly guided caliphate to fulfill the prophecy as reported by Imam Ahmad in his Musnad narrated from Nu’man ibn Bashir where the Prophet Muhammad (saw) states:
«ثم تكون ملكًا جبرية فتكون ما شاء الله أن تكون، ثم يرفعها الله إذا شاء أن يرفعها، ثم تكون خلافة على منهاج النبوة، ثم سكت»
"Then there will be an oppressive rule, and things will be as Allah wishes them to be. Then He will end it if He wishes to end it. Then there will be a Khilafah according to the method of Prophethood."
